Tooled up with an arsenal of drums, guitar, synth bass and loop pedals, Cairo Knife Fight are a duo that pack a riff-driven punch that has seen them hold their own against the title holders they’ve shared stages with – names like Foo Fighters, Them Crooked Vultures and Queens of the Stone Age. If there was new ground between the power of Led Zeppelin and the fearlessness of Radiohead, Nick Gaffaney and Aaron Tokona have marked that out as their own territory in Cairo Knife Fight. With two fearless EPs now under their belt and a bout of international touring that saw them wow New York crowds at CMJ with their incredible musicianship, Cairo Knife Fight are simply saying put your dukes up, they are taking on all challengers in 2012.
